Terms of service
Last updated 9 August 2026
These terms cover your use of desert labs at rundesert.com. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
desert labs gives you a workspace where an automated agent carries out tasks you describe. The agent can write and run code in an isolated sandbox, respond to events such as incoming email, and act on accounts you connect to it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account.
What the agent may do on your behalf
Read this section before you connect an account. When you connect a service and grant permissions, you authorise the agent to use those permissions to carry out the instructions you give it.
That includes destructive actions. If you grant Gmail access, the agent can send mail from your address and permanently delete mail. If you grant Drive access, it can edit and delete your documents. It acts on your instructions, and those instructions are written in ordinary language, which means it can misread them. Some of what it does cannot be undone.
You decide how much access it has, and you can withdraw that access at any moment from the integrations page or from your Google account permissions. Grant the services you need, review what your automations do before you let them run unattended, and treat the agent as you would a capable assistant who is new to your inbox.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights.
- Send unsolicited bulk mail, run phishing campaigns, or impersonate other people.
- Access accounts or data you are not authorised to access, including by connecting a Google account that is not yours or that you do not have permission to automate.
- Attack, overload, or attempt to break out of the sandbox or our infrastructure.
- Mine cryptocurrency, or run workloads whose main purpose is to consume compute.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.
Your content
Your content stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service for you, which means storing your content, sending it to the providers listed in our privacy policy, and processing it so the agent can do what you asked. We claim no ownership over what you write or what the agent produces for you.
Third-party services
When you connect an account, that provider's own terms continue to apply to it. We are not responsible for their services, and a change on their side may change or break what the agent can do.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the agent will produce correct results. We may change or discontinue features.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, desert labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or actions the agent takes on your instructions. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or 50 US dollars.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your workspaces and revokes the access you granted, as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or that put the service or other users at risk.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
